DescriptionThe TCF Stadium is a $288.5 million open-air stadium for the University of Minnesota with a horseshoe-shaped bowl. The 50,000 seat stadium has the second largest scoreboard in all of college football. The 49 feet high by 108 feet wide scoreboard boasts Daktronics HD-16 technology, the first of its kind in Big Ten Conference football. The stadium has been designed for upward expansion around the outdoor seating bowl which would add approximately 30,000 seats to bring the total capacity to 80,000 seats.
